Why blog?
Why did I name this “The Burned Hand”?
So I started tonight by looking up quotes for my brand new blog. While there are many quotes that I like, this one quote by J.R.R. Tolkien caught my attention. “The burned hand teaches best.” This quote seems to encompass my life. At the age of three, I reached up on the stove thinking to help my mother, only to be rushed to the doctor for severe burns on my hand. Life is like that. I constantly do things that sound like a good idea at the time, only to realize later, when they don’t work out, the burn can still sting at any age. I was asked if my blog would have a theme or a recurring event. Yes. Yes, it will. It’s called life. I don’t know if you are searching for reasons to write or if you have been writing your whole life and think no one is listening to you.
I am also on a journey to heal. I write in order to feel better about what is going on in my life right now. It is not an easy road, but life is like that. I have many diseases, and as such, the name of my blog also reflects how it feels to live with them.
“No one means all he says, and yet very few say all they mean, for words are slippery and thought is viscous.” ~Henry Brooks Adams, The Education of Henry Adams, 1907
Will I mean all I say? Of course. Will I say all I mean? Well, that’s for you to find out.

Awesome!!!!! The beast has been unleashed!!! Love it!
