Magickal Books to Read Right Now

Well met my friends.  Are you interested in learning a little bit more about the word “magick”, but feel it is taboo?  Were you raised “a certain way” and are not sure what it means if you feel called to learn more about witches, magick, apothecaries, and the like?  Have no fear.  I have created something for the person who wants to add a little bit more “magick” to their lives but isn’t sure if they feel 100% comfortable yet with the idea.

I was raised Christian, and I have felt a calling towards nature, natural remedies, holistic therapy, yoga, herbs and plants, and a calling to be open to discussing energy and all other forms of healing since 1998, when my first diagnosis was given to me on that crazy night (technically 1997, turning 1998, on New Year’s Eve.  Yes.  My doctor called my house) and let me tell you…that was scary.

I believe we all have these pivotal points in our lives when we think “There’s something else at work here and it’s greater than I am.”  For me, it was the messages I was directly receiving to look into certain things.  Source energy, God, you name the voice what you believe, but I know I was divinely guided.  I do not believe we know everything there is to know about this calling we feel, but for me, I started researching and writing based on what I was being called to do.

It has taken me a long time to work on another E-book, but I felt called to put this together for beginners who might have once been like me.  I created a beginning guide to Magick, and yes, there’s a reason I spell it that way.  I go into it during my tutorial that you get with the purchase of the E-book as well as learning more about:

  • Energy cleansing
  • Charging water
  • Adding good energy to your home
  • Natural crafting
  • Creating an apothecary
  • Magickal roller blends
  • Simmer pots, and more!

Magickal Activities for Beginners

The above is an E-book that comes right to you with a tutorial, a few bonuses like Magickal Journaling, a supply/reading list and any extra I add to the E-book for life!

The following are books that I have in my library:

The Healing Garden: Cultivating and Handcrafting Herbal Remedies This book by Juliet Blankespoor is not only beautiful but includes the foundational principles of herbalism from the founder of Chestnut School of Herbal Medicine.

The Illustrated Encyclopedia of Healing Remedies is one of the first books I asked for!  Author C. Norman Shealy provides over 1,000 natural remedies!!  I got this to look up things and cross reference when I wasn’t feeling well, and I have to say I really enjoy this book.  Again, if you are on medications, always consult a doctor (the author is a world-renowned neurosurgeon which I find really amazing). It is very cool to find someone who opened Shealy Wellness in Missouri and looks at healthcare comprehensively.

Mixing Essential Oils for Magic: Aromatic Alchemy for Personal Blends by Sandra Kynes.  This author talks about botanical families, scent groups and the perfume notes.  Lots of detail about carrier oil profiles as well.  I like to look up any new oils I add to my mixes!

The Green Witch: Your Complete Guide to the Natural Magic of Herbs, Flowers, Essential Oils and More by Arin Murphy-Hiscock talk about finding harmony in Earth’s great elements and is really good for the new green witch enthusiast.  It talks about herbal blends, potions, ritual suggestions and more.

Wild Witchcraft: Folk Herbalism, Garden Magic, and Foraging for Spells, Rituals, and Remedies by Rebecca Beyer is a look into the history of witchcraft and Western Herbalism, teas, salves and other potions.  It also includes how to create an herbal garden.

A Good Witches Guide: A Modern-Day Wiccapedia of Magickal Ingredients and Spells by Shawn Robbins, contains spells, remedies, and recipes from a roundtable of noted witches, healers, and mystical practitioners, this “spell”-binding book is a must-read for anyone who wishes to celebrate both good health and spirituality.

Enjoy these offerings and I hope you subscribe to my online shop as well for updates if this resonates with you!
