Ever after…

I have been pretty bad off this week.  Sick with some piece of nastiness that is going around.  I have tried to cure myself by drinking copious amount of hot green tea plus this tea I like called Gypsy Cold Care.  I finally went to the doctor just to be certain I wasn’t dying…I wasn’t.  She gave me some meds “just in case” on Wednesday.  By Friday I had filled them.

Last night, we had family movie night and we watched this movie called Ever After.  You might have seen it before.  It happens to be one of my favorites.  I also found this quote on Pinterest that said “Any home can be a castle when the King and Queen are in love.”  My husband has been so good to me while I was sick that it seemed fitting to pin that quote.  The truth is, he isn’t just good to me when I am sick, that quote rings true all the time in our house.  I just wanted to let him know that he is appreciated by posting this small quote:

“You were born together, and together you shall be forevermore.
You shall be together when the white wings of death scatter your days.
Ay, you shall be together even in the silent memory of God.
But let there be spaces in your togetherness,
And let the winds of the heavens dance between you.

Love one another, but make not a bond of love:
Let it rather be a moving sea between the shores of your souls.
Fill each other’s cup but drink not from one cup.
Give one another of your bread but eat not from the same loaf
Sing and dance together and be joyous, but let each one of you be alone,
Even as the strings of a lute are alone though they quiver with the same music.

Give your hearts, but not into each other’s keeping.
For only the hand of Life can contain your hearts.
And stand together yet not too near together:
For the pillars of the temple stand apart,
And the oak tree and the cypress grow not in each other’s shadow.”
